I started my first business in 1982 after working for several companies and figuring out after awhile that I could do this by myself and make more money.

My wife thought I was crazy because we just had a set of 1 year old twins and I quit my job and went out on my own. The best thing that happened to me was I had two additional mouths to feed and the old sales manager from my last job came in and told me he was going to put me out of business.

Wrong thing to say to a guy who had two kids to feed and just quite his job. Instead of starting at 8:00AM I was on the road at 5:00 AM making things happen. In two years the other company closed their doors. It's all about commitment. You can do whatever you want to do...you just have to commit yourself to it and make it happen.
